About MKM Beauty

Hey I’m Marissa!👋🏼 I am the owner of MKM Beauty. I have been in the beauty industry since 2013 & after a successful career in salons & spas I launched MKM Beauty in 2022 to offer a more personalised, client-focused experience.

I specialise in prescription manicures, offering a range of nail systems whether it's classic gel, builder gel, acrylic, or hand-painted nail art I can offer the best service to suit each & every client. I also offer tailored brow treatments & lash lifts to enhance your natural beauty.

My goal is for each visit to leave you feeling polished & pampered! I take my time to achieve flawless results & love catching up with my regular clients 🖤

Outside the salon, I’m usually with my partner Stephen & my dog Reggie (dog mum chats are always welcome! 🐾)

Experience

  • Since 2014, I have gained extensive experience in the beauty industry, working in three local salons and two spas. In 2022, I began my self-employed journey as a mobile beauty therapist, later transitioning to working from home. I am now proud to be based at Awaken Face and Body Care, where I rent a chair and continue to offer high-quality, personalised treatments to my clients. With all my experience I still love to enroll in new training and keep my knowledge up to date with the latest trends and techniques!

Ultimate Eyes PackageExperience a tailored brow & lash transformation with cleansing, exfoliation and precise mapping of your brows with a Hybrid stain tint that lasts upto a week on the skin and 8 weeks in the hairs. Followed by shaped with wax, trim, and tweeze for flawless definition. Alongside your brows you will have lashes lifted to perfection and a custom tint of your choosing & you will receive serum to take home to nourish the lashes post treatment. Patch test required.

Nail ConsultationIf you are a new client unsure of your nail possibilities and want some guidance on which system would meet your specific needs please book this option to pop in for a chat and inspection on your current nails. Nail biters, damaged nails from previous enhancements and nervous clients this option is to welcome you and to put you at ease so we can get a plan together for you and your nails. (No charge)

Marissa is a nail wizard. She provides multiple nail services (amongst other beauty treatments) to the highest standard I've seen. She gives honest and comprehensive consultations, and has an indepth knowledge on nail techniques as well as the anatomy of the nail. She has definitely found a lifelong customer in me.
I've been coming to Marissa regularly for nails and brows for over two years. When it comes to nails she takes great care in the prep work so they look CLEAN, her nail art skills are so good, she can really do anything (patterns, jewels, 3D, watercolour). She's also insanely good at colour matching and putting pallettes together for designs if you want advice. Vibes through the appointment are also 10/10 and time flies :). On brows I get compliments on them everytime I get them. Highly recommend her in all things
