Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply to all nail, lash and brow services provided by MKM Beauty, operated by Marissa MacFarlane.

By booking an appointment with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

2. Booking and Appointments

All bookings are automatically confirmed through our booking system. However, we reserve the right to decline any booking that doesn't fit our policies or schedule.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you're running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We may need to shorten or cancel your service to avoid delays for other clients with full appointment chargeable.

For nail services, please come prepared with an idea of what you'd like - including colours and nail art designs. This helps me provide the best service within your appointment time if you need more time to discuss please book “Nail consultation” with your nail appointment.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

I require at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.

Late cancellations (less than 48 hours notice) require 50% payment of the booking & no-shows (and cancellations within same day of appointment) are charged at 100% of appointment cost, if these are unpaid it will result in you being refused future bookings.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible through your preferred method.

4. Payment

Payment is due at the end of your appointment.

I accept payment by bank transfer.

Prices are clearly displayed for all services and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

5. Service Standards and Refunds

I take pride in my work and will always rectify any problems you may have with a service, within reason.

Once you have received a treatment, you are not entitled to a full refund. However, I will work with you to fix any issues.

Please raise any concerns immediately so I can address them promptly.

6. Client Conduct

I expect all clients to be polite and respectful to me and other clients.

Please follow any instructions given during your service for your safety and to ensure the best results.

I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who behaves inappropriately or makes me feel uncomfortable.

7. Health and Safety

Please inform me of any allergies, skin conditions, or health concerns that may affect your treatment.

I maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with industry regulations.

If you experience any adverse reactions during or after your treatment, please contact me immediately.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We handle all client data in compliance with GDPR regulations.

Your personal information is used solely for booking management and providing our services.

We will never share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

I may take photos of my work during your appointment if you do not consent to these images being shared please let me know and I will avoid taking any photos.

9. Liability

We maintain appropriate insurance for all services provided.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during your appointment.

Our liability for any claims is limited to the value of the service provided.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to regular clients.

By continuing to book with us after changes are made, you accept the updated terms.
